Who wanna be a code breaker?~~

This morning i receive an email with a attachments of MS EXCEL from my buddy that challenge me a brain test~ Well, I not that interested at 1st because I'm quite fed up with the forward email attach with lame IQ question that can't been solve~

But anyway at least i gave him some face la. since he long time didn't email me anything so i open up and read it and the challenge goes like this:

My name is on the list!!

Only Skilled People Can Open The Attached File!

Once you succeed in opening this file, you will find names of the people who have managed to open it... Now it’s your turn!

If I’ve sent you this then you know that I consider you smart enough to solve it; don’t let me down.
I have solved the below puzzle.

“A man wanted to get into his work building, but he had forgotten his pin-code. However, he did remember five clues.

These are what those clues were:

§ The fifth number plus the third number equals 14.

§ The fourth number is one more than the second number.

§ The first number is one less than twice the second number.

§ The second number plus the third number equals 10.

§ The sum of all five numbers is 30.

What were the five numbers?

And you know what? I'm suddenly become to interested about it~ its pretty obvious that this a straight forward mathematics question with some password protection encryption on the MS EXCEL to make it like you are the code breaker~

So... wanna try to break the code? just for fun.

Post your answer at the comment box. I will post the correct answer once there are at least 7 ppl who post the theirs~

Easy to solve but i lazy to think...

for me, i am lazy to think the answer.
the MS Excel encryption is not strong anyway.
cracking the password is much simpler for me, if compare to solve a quiz.
hahhaha

@Garfield: i find u next time in case i forgot my password. haha

The answer:

Put the number in alphabet order

A,B,C,D,E

And then, follow the hint.

1. E + C = 14
2. D = B + 1
3. A = 2 * B - 1
4. B + C = 10
5. A + B + C + D + E = 30

try find the value of B. once you find it. you can crack the other.

final answer is 7,4,6,5,8

so David and U-jean got it~
